Email settings

Any Hot Spot can send images via e-mail. Your computer must have a permanent Internet connection, and must be able to send e-mails at any time. Webcam Zone Trigger sends e-mails in batches, every 30 seconds.

Destination e-mail address

Default destination for e-mails, including those containing images. (You can specify different addresses for different Hot Spots.) You can specify more than one address by separating them with commas.

From Address

Address from which the email will appear to be sent. This can be the same address as the destination address.

You may need to add this address to your spam filter safe list

SMTP server

Outgoing mail server as supplied by your Internet Service Provider. It might look something like this: smtp.your_isp.com

port

The port for sending e-mail. The default is 25, but this can vary depending on the mail server and the security protocols. Check with you mail server to make sure you have the correct settings.

Requires SSL

A security feature used by some mail servers. Verify if your mail server requires it.

Requires Authentication

A security feature used by some mail servers. Verify if your mail server requires it.

If you use authentication, you must provide a User Name and Password (see lower)

User Name

If using Authentication, provide the mail server with your user name.

Password

If using Authentication, provide the mail server with your password.

Automatically send image every...

Send at least one image per specified time period, even if the Hot Spots are not triggered. This is useful for monitoring purposes.

Between image captures, wait at least...

Send cumulative image e-mails this often. Each e-mail contains all images since the last e-mail. This is useful for preventing your mailbox from filling up with unread mail, but does not reduce the overall file size.

Use this to verify that settings are correct, and that your e-mails pass any firewalls or spam filters.
