Virtual Piano
|

Since sounds can be bound to Hot Spots, you can easily create musical instruments using Zone Trigger.
You can create notes anyway you like, but here is a simple way to make a virtual piano:
-Put the camera in a top-down view so that it sees your desk or table from above.
-Using fun-tack, stick a few pennies in a straight line in the view of the camera.
-Put a small Hot Spot over each penny. Adjust its sensitivity and size
appropriately. For each Hot Spot, bind a wav sound file containing a
note. You can record note yourself using the Windows Sound Recorder.
Tips:
-While setting up your Hot Spots, Deactivate the triggers if you do not want them going off for no reason.
-You can move all Hot Spots at the same time by holding the Shift key (on your keyboard).
-Make sure Zone Trigger is getting at least 10-20 images per seconds (Settings dialog)
-You will get better results if the light source is from above, because shadows can trig Hot Spots.

Birding in High-Res

Webcam Zone Trigger uses your webcam to captures images in 320x240
pixels, which is probably not enought if you want to picture wildfile
in all it's beauty. However, Zone Trigger can do many things, such as
controlling other software.
If you have a digital camera, chance are that you can use Zone Trigger
to make it take high-resolution pictures. Most cameras come with remote
control software that you can install on your PC.
-Set your webcam and Digital camera side by side
-Start your camera remote-control software. Look for a "release" or
"take picture" option. Find if the remote-control software can use a
hotkey to make the camera take a picture (ex: press F8 to take picture).
-Start Zone Trigger, create a big Hot Spot, and bind its action to Activate a Hotkey and enter the remote-control software's "take a picture" hotkey.
