Adjust Video Settings

If required, you can adjust the settings in the Video Settings tab.

To adjust a video settings

  1. Click on the Video Settings tab.
  2. Use the buttons.

    Camera Name

Enter a meaningful name for the video source.

    Camera Resolution

Change the resolution and frame-rate of the camera. The possible selection depends on the camera itself.

    Advanced Video Settings

If available, this opens the video source's own properties window as supplied by its drivers.

For an analog TV tuner, this is where you select the channel. For some analog capture devices, you may need to select between PAL or NTSC capture.

    Image Rotate/Mirror

Lets you rotate the image, e.g. to correct an upside-down camera. Delete any Hot Sports first.

    Lights On/Off

Enables you to determine what happens when the lights go on or off.

Normally, an abrupt change in light level triggers any Motion Hot Spots. However, you can tell Zone Trigger to compensate for light levels, and also to trigger an action when they change.

    • Don't care...: Do not compensate for changes to light levels. Some Hot Spots may trigger.
    • Prevent...: Compensate for changes to light levels. Hot Spots should not trigger.
    • Use lights...: Compensate for changes in light levels, but also use this to trigger an Action. Settings are as for Hot Spots.

    Auto-Picture timer

Capture and store a picture at a regular interval. Zone Trigger saves the pictures in the default save folder.

And that's it! You're ready to monitor video sources using Webcam Zone Trigger.
